“Systemic bullying, hazing and abuse generally are identified with poor, weak or toxic organizational cultures. Cultures that are toxic have stated ethical values that are espoused but not employed, and other non-ethical values which are operational, dominant, but unstated.

Such cultures thrive when good people are silent, silenced, or pushed out; when bad apples are vocal, retained, promoted, and empowered; and when the neutral majority remain silent in order to survive. Those who are most successful in such a toxic culture are those who have adapted to it, or adopted it as their own”. (McKay, Arnold, Fratzl & Thomas, 2008)

"Wonder of wonder, miracles of miracles"

In 2011, a video clip on stopping bullying in the workplace, which included facts from the University of Newcastle, was uploaded to Youtube.

Shortly thereafter, this video was blocked from view in Australia following legal action by the University of Newcastle.  This is part of the University's silencing tactics which include gagging of bullied employees, removal of posters, security stopping posters being put up, etc.

Now, suddenly, the clip can be viewed again in Australia!

Does the University know?

Google continues to monitor this website everyday - who is paying them to do this?

Has Google investigated the video and decided that there is no problem with it?

Does Google want some more money to keep blocking the video?

  1. Bullies make terrible educators, I learnt that much at the University of Newcastle.

The skills that they should be imparting are sidelined by their self interested behavior and sociopathy. It actually is a far better use of time to teach students without bullying, yet the University constantly counters this by supporting and promoting staff who bully.

When enough people complain or boycott the University maybe then and only then will they listen.

To anyone reading this, Your life as a student is important and valuable. The good money you pledge should be returned with good counsel.

In my case I have paid 1000's of dollars in HECS to get torched by a head of school who casually joked about pedophilia in a lecture, condoned drug use (ecstacy or methamphetamine) by mentioning it in another class, bullied students in seminars and in staff meetings and consistently undermined the efforts of other staff members. My mental health is poor as a result of this man's behavior.

Shame on you, University of Newcastle, Shame on you.

  2. It's a miracle that John Germov is constantly appearing at official functions of the uni, often with the VC, as the darling of the new regime.

Why don't people have read of his "book" "second Opinion", which contains parts plagiarised from a real professor's work?

Why again don't people have a look into the history of his bullying his innocent colleagues to get where he is!

Therein lies the problem of the UoN - the bullies are in charge!

    1. It doesn't surprise me that a bully and a plagiarist is doing well at that University.

Come to the University of Sydney, we get results!!!!
